RSS Pioneers

RSS Pioneers is a workshop for senior Ph.D. students and postdocs, held in conjunction with the main Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) Conference. The goal of RSS Pioneers is to bring together a cohort of the world’s top early career researchers to foster creativity and collaborations surrounding challenges in all areas of robotics, as well as to help young researchers navigate their next career stages. The workshop will include a mix of research and career talks from senior scholars in the field from both academia and industry, research presentations from attendees and networking activities. There will be a poster session where Pioneers will get a chance to externally showcase their research.

To facilitate attendance, the workshop will provide partial support for travel and registration for RSS Pioneers participants and the main RSS conference. This year, the RSS Pioneers will be held on July 11th 2020 in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. RSS Pioneers is inspired by the format of the prestigious HRI Pioneers workshop. The first and second RSS Pioneers were successfully held at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA in 2018 and in Freiburg, Germany in 2019, respectively.

Details about the workshop are available at the workshop website.
